Community Philosophy

  • The Linyaps Community (“the Community”) is an open-source community established by enterprises, institutions, social organizations, and individual developers based on principles of co-creation, co-governance, and sharing.

    Rooted in open source, we drive innovation with an open mindset, advancing alongside the future. We are committed to promoting the open-source development and innovation of package management tools, providing a free and open communication platform for all, and striving to deliver the best open-source community products. The Community releases and maintains Linyaps products—delivering stable, high-performance, secure, reliable, and open solutions—to create world-class open-source package management toolkits, foster an innovative open-source ecosystem, and support the healthy growth of the software landscape.

Governance Structure

Steering Committee: Establishes and updates open-source governance policies, determines operational plans, sets project direction, and reviews budgets.

Advisory Committee: Provides strategic guidance for Linyaps project development.

Ecosystem Committee: Expands the Linyaps ecosystem by attracting developers and vendors to contribute, ensuring project vitality.

Technical Committee: Leads technical direction, oversees requirement management, and plans releases.

Operations Committee: Executes community initiatives, drives project maturation, and promotes ecosystem growth.

Code of Conduct

The Linyaps Community adheres to open-source norms and complies with Chinese and international laws. A healthy community requires collective effort; thus, we adopt the Contributor Covenant 2.1.

1. Our Pledge

We pledge to foster a harassment-free experience for all, regardless of age, background, identity, or experience. We commit to openness, kindness, diversity, and inclusivity.

2. Standards

Positive behaviors include:

  • Empathy and respect

  • Constructive feedback

  • Accountability and apologies

  • Community-first mindset

Unacceptable behaviors include:

  • Sexualized language/imagery

  • Harassment, trolling, or attacks

  • Sharing private information without consent

  • Any unprofessional conduct

3. Enforcement

Community leaders will fairly enforce these standards, removing or rejecting non-compliant content.

4. Scope

Applies to all community spaces and public representations of the Community.

5. Reporting

Report violations to [contact details]. All complaints will be reviewed confidentially.

6. Consequences

6.1 Correction: Private warning or public apology. 6.2 Warning: Temporary interaction restrictions. 6.3 Temporary Ban: Severe violations may result in timed bans. 6.4 Permanent Ban: Patterns of harm lead to indefinite exclusion.
